Missing something that I’ve never had
Something that I need so very fucking bad
Within my blackened heart
The emptiness just grows
I feel the pain inside
And in my eyes it shows

I sense the darkness closer than it’s ever been before
The strength of its pull is sometimes so hard to ignore
Missing too many pieces
Disconnected from my soul
Lost within the blackness
Will you help me lose control?

Lost inside a nightmare that should have been a dream
With nowhere to go I’m often wedged in between
Pouring out the pain
In poetry and tears
Struggling at best
To overcome the fears

Missing something that I’ve never had
Something that I need so very fucking bad
It won’t let me go
I’m holding on too tight
Until I find my way
